What we collect
When you buy the unlock. Payment is handled by Stripe, which collects your card details and email. We never see or store your card number. Stripe sends us your email, a payment reference, the amount and the date, which we store so we can unlock your devices and handle refunds.
When you restore a purchase. We use the email you enter to look up your purchase and, if there is one, send you a one-tap link. The link expires after 30 minutes.
On your device. Your browser stores your unlock key and settings such as volume, in local storage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics that follow you around the web.
Technical data. Like most sites, our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs, such as error logs, to keep the service secure and working. When a page loads, it also requests fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address.
How we use it
To take your payment, unlock your devices, send restore links you ask for, answer your messages, give refunds and keep the records that tax and accounting rules require. We do not send marketing emails.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site: Stripe (payments, see the Stripe privacy policy), Amazon Web Services (hosting, database and email delivery) and Google Fonts (fonts). We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and we may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep purchase records for as long as we run the site, so we can restore your purchase, and for as long as accounting and legal rules require after that.
Your choices
Email hello@youressence.app to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. If we delete your purchase record, we can no longer restore your unlock on new devices. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
